About Me

Isaiah Golden is 27 year old Black and queer writer with a B.A. in Creative Writing from California State University, San Bernardino and an M.F.A. from the Writer’s Foundry MFA program at St. Joseph’s University, Brooklyn where he studied fiction and nonfiction with Lee Clay Johnson and María Alejandra Barrios Vélez during the years of 2022 to 2024. Born and raised in Southern California, Isaiah Golden is known for writing fantasy with social justice themes and queer contemporary fiction that explores identity. His work often combines the suspense and imaginative richness of speculative genres with the complex characterization of literary fiction. His hope is to create works that inspire people from all walks of life to live as themselves without fear. He believes that writing from a place of vulnerability is the best way to achieve that goal.
